Sorry, but I'm very new at this.

I reserved a model 3 and I was wondering something about destination charging.

I see that there are 8kw and 16kw chargers. How many miles per charge does each one give?

@Joey - what specific chargers are you looking at? generally speaking, the Tesla Destination Chargers / Wall Connectors are noted by amps to determine the rate of charge.
Play around with the charge calculator about half way down this Tesla page to get an idea of time needed based on different amps

Sorry, but I couldn't find the calculator. What I mean is for example.... In the Houston area there are many destination chargers. Many will say, "2 Tesla connectors, up to 8Kw."

How many miles will I get with a 1 hour charge?

The kW would be the amount of energy, but doesn't speak to the rate of charge. A specific amount of kWs would get the same amount of miles no matter if it was a trickle charge or super fast.
And looks like tesla is rearranging something their website - the page with the charger calculator isn't showing now (hope it comes back, because it's pretty useful I think!)

ETA - the tesla charging page is back up!

Let's say for the sake of argument, because we don't know the actual numbers, that a Model≡ gets 215 miles of range with a 55kWh battery.

Neglecting losses which I can't calculate here.

From no charge to full charge ( this is not typical), it would take a 16kW charger 55kWh/16kW = 3.44 hours to get to a full charge.

More realistically, from 10% charge to 90% charge would take 2.75 hours.

How many miles you actually get depends on driving conditions, temperature, the weight of you right foot, etc.
