Klaus Fröhlich, BMW's head of development ... blames policymakers, pointing out that Munich, for example, currently has only 50 charging stations.

And there's your problem. Why would government be expected to install a bunch of charging stations for electric cars that don't exist? Elon had Tesla take care of the problem instead of complaining about it.

Porsche and Audi on their develpoment of a joint electric car platform:

The other VAG brands will use the MEB (modulare Elektrifizierungsbaukasten). Limiting factor will be battery production. They rely on LG Chem to build them.

I'm amazed Rupert Stadler is still CEO of Audi. Many former Audi managers identified him as one of the key figures in the emission scandal.

P.S.: They're planning a redesign of the current Audi A4. Sales were really poor in 2017. I wonder if that has something to to with an upcoming electric sedan in the same market segment?

Makes sense. Tesla Grohmann is already here, many automotive suppliers in close proximity and a lot of automotive know-how. Also to challenge german carmakers on their home turf and put the badge "Made in Germany" on more than the air filter :)
