A list of features members have questions about, to give those first owners ideas of what to document and share.

Note: This list is being answered by the first couple owners of delivered cars with pre-released UI software. Some features are still not activated, so be patient with the information coming in and trust the official published features will become available with the future OTA software updates, likely by the time ‘regular’ deliveries begin.

Here's one to add...

Can the key card do anything besides the door(s)?

well, it can start the car ;) that was my question if there are exterior trunk/frunk buttons to unlatch those from the outside once the car is unlocked. what else are you thinking the card could do?
No that was it ... trunk/frunk/other 3 doors ...

My biggest ask is audible, not visual. I'm going with the premium regardless but would like to know how different the two systems sound. Can't get that on YouTube.

I haven't seen any mention of front floor air vents?
they are there. It's a bit hard to make out in this screenshot, and couldn't readily find the other I was thinking of...
for both the driver and passenger, when you go into the climate controls, the blue circle highlights if the air is at the dash (top circle), mixed (middle circle) or at your feet (bottom circle)

It is reasonable to expect these things:

Card unlocks/wakes up the vehicle. Selective door unlock could be a software option later if seriously asked.
Trunk has a button under the lip. It clicks open on screen/app too but can not be closed with software.
Frunk can be opened by screen, app and emergency pull-cord, likely behind towing hook cover (round thingy)
Wipers have rain sensor as there is no wiper stalk for constant adjustment.
12-way adjustable seats means:
HIGHER-LOWER; FORWARD-BACKWARD; BACKREST UP-DOWN; BOTTOM INCLINE UP-DOWN; upper-lower lumbar sacks (4way, lower, both, upper, neither). 8 ways should be with memory, 4 way lumbar might not be (like with BMW).
In case of standard seats, those are 6-way:
HIGHER-LOWER; FORWARD-BACKWARD; BACKREST UP-DOWN;
If headrests are adjustable, then only manually. Likely not adjustable at all.
Both steering wheel knobs scroll up-down, click left-right, and also click in. Exactly like many computer mouses with back-forth function.

How about: one swipe to unlock the driver's door, two swipes to unlock all doors.

MelindaV,

Nice start to what will hopefully be questions answered soon from an official source rather than speculation of reasonableness.

Here's some additional ones that I've seen out there or thought myself:

Exterior-
Access to 12v battery
Access to wiper fluid bottle
Jack points
Non-glass roof color (body or black?)
Adaptive headlights (LED sequencing)
Front plate mounting method
Exterior USB port (for phone/camping)*

Interior-
Location of 12v outlet
Angle of recline on front seats
Window/door safety locks (& controls)
Dash/trim/head opts (wood/white/alc?)
Height of pass through from trunk
Rear view mirror blind spot (head height)
Trunk lighting
Frunk lighting
Actual Trunk/Frunk capacity

Tech-
Audio (HD?)
USB (power level, which for media)
Best location for toll transponder -or-
Is there a Gentex Integrated Toll Module
User accessible tech (cameras, data)
Screen glare (to and from screen)
Multiple phone interaction

MX-
Maintenance schedule
Maintenance plans (costs)
Card replacement/wiping
Tire life expectancy
Wheel alignment specs (toe like S?)

* a wishlist item I don't think is happening but might be good for a future add

@skygraff - added most of yours onto the main list. Wiper fluid is here. Screen Shot 2017-08-21 at 1.13.21 PM.png

and didn't include the items for future options (like opaque roof option) as the first owners will not be any help there :) also didn't include the further out maintenance things (IE alignment) as that's not something readily available in an owners manual to the general public anyway. All those will work there way out, but looking specifically for getting this list to those things we expect anyone getting a car to be able to report back on.

Thanks, MelindaV.

I probably should've put the washer bottle one under MX (hadn't decided on adding that category until later and forgot to move it). My intention was to ask about access to the bottle in case it needed to be repaired. I assume it and the battery require Frunk liner disassembly.

As for toll transponder location, I'm still hopeful that Tesla has jumped on board with their rear view mirror supplier Gentex and included an Integrated Toll Module (using Universal Toll Module technology) into the Model 3 since it will facilitate FSD (for cross country driving especially). Of course, if they did, I doubt it's actually in the mirror vs wherever the Homelink antenna is located.
