Hello Tesla Model 3 owners and fans. We are extremely excited to be a sponsoring vendor on this forum and look forward to getting to know you all over the coming years as more and more Model 3's are coming off the production line and into your driveways.

As many of you have read or experienced for yourselves at this point, new cars (Teslas included) are extremely susceptible to UV degradation, fading, oxidation, bird droppings, acid rain & water spots, and other environmental fallout. This can ruin your new car look within it's first year (even faster if you live by the ocean). Ceramic Nano-Technology provides a great answer to these problems and FEYNLAB (pronounced "fine lab") is at the forefront of this relatively new space.

Whether you are a DIYer that enjoys working on their car every weekend or someone who is too busy to even remember what color their car is, we have a solution for you. From our prosumer line of products like Textile, Leather Treatment & Ceramic Lite to our professionally installed Self-Heal Plus ceramic coating, we have an answer to protect every surface for years to come, making maintenance an absolute breeze and keeping your new car looking....well...NEW.

Like Tesla, at FEYNLAB, we view ourselves as the innovators of our industry. We have been creating ceramic nano coatings for automobiles, boats and planes for over 10 years and are the inventor and manufacturer of the world's first self-healing ceramic coating. All of our products are made in the USA in Lombard, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. If you're ever in the area, please give us a call and swing by and meet the team and take our mad scientist out for a quick launch in your Tesla. He doesn't get to leave the factory much so I'm sure he would appreciate the ride. He'll probably teach you a thing or 2 about our technology while you're there.

Check out our website, browse our product catalogue and click Contact Us to get a free quote from one of our certified installers near you, now available in over 30 countries. Many of our installers are also certified in paint protection film (clear bra) and window tint, so you may find yourself only needing to call 1 place. Let them know you are a part of the Model 3 forum and post up your new car after you get it treated.

We are here to help and are happy to answer any car care questions you might have. So tag us in your posts with questions and we will be happy to assist if we can.

All the Best,
The FEYNLAB Team

Sounds great. Can you refer me to anyone offering the same products and services in St. Louis, MO?

Hello. Couple of questions please.

1) I am interested in the Hydrophobicity characteristic of the coating. All the coating brands I'e checked out have good hydro at first. What seems to vary a lot is how long the hydro is effective. There are some other popular, name brand formulations that, again, have great hydro up front, but the hydro property fades over time. Sometimes a few weeks. Sometimes a few months. Do you have any videos demonstrating how well your Ceramic Pro (let's say the best pro-sumer version of the product) repels water, over time. Not claims, mind you, actual video of the repellent action over time.

2) What is unique about Ceramic Pro that gives it the self-healing property?

3) Can the product be applied over film?

thanx!

Hi Coastal Cruiser,

1. Here are some photos of my own personal car. These photos are from a coin op car wash in San Diego taken on May 1, 2018. The car was coated with Ceramic Lite in March of 2016. There are dozens of videos and photos scattered throughout YouTube and our Facebook Show and Shine group if you would like to hunt for more, but I can tell you the hydrophobics have outlasted any product I have used in the past. I used to be a certified installer for CQuartz Finest, Opti-Coat Pro Plus and Modesta. These photos from my car are using Ceramic Lite which is our entry-level DIY coating.

2. You can read about our self-healing technology here Feynlab Self-Healing Technology Ceramic Pro and Feynlab are not the same company nor remotely similar in technology.

3. We have a product specifically developed for film. Feynlab PPF & Vinyl or you can use my personal favorite and easier to use Feynlab Topcoat or of course the most popular Feynlab Ceramic Lite

Thanks for reaching out!

OK. Thanx for replying.

1) I'm not sure your photos came through. Not seeing them on this end.

2) Sorry for the Ceramic Pro reference (so many products, so little time). The video I had spotted with the wire brush demonstrating the self healing coating was a Feynlab product (Heal Plus).

.

Thanx for the link that explains the self-heal formulation.

3) OK. But let's tie this together into a cohesive strategy please. Let's say my goal is a coating for 1) an existing PPF, 2) maximum hydo longevity 3) gloss level unimportant, 4) user applied, 5) cost irrelevant, 6) multi-layer coating ok if that's what gets the job done, but not just layers for the sake of layers.

How would you approach a customer with that criteria? For example would you recommend the PPF & vinyl ceramic product on the film, then a layer of your topcoat, and then maybe a layer of the Heal Plus? Or is the Heal Plus redundant given a PPF substrate?

thanx

1. I forgot to post them. They should be there now. Lazy Sunday

2. No problem, I was just giving a little jab.

3. A) The only coatings I would recommend for film and that are available to a consumer (not a certified Feynlab Detail shop) are Ceramic Lite, TopCoat, PPF & Vinyl.

PPF & Vinyl was specifically designed for optimally bonding and durability to the urethane films. However, if you aren't comfortable and experienced installing coatings, this can be a bit of a difficult install. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a non-professional in it's current version. We are working and close to releasing an easier install version.

TopCoat is easy to use and provides awesome water beading but most importantly it actually keeps dust build up at bay on urethane films. If you ever noticed your clear bra getting dustier than the painted areas of your vehicle, this can help level the playing field.

Ceramic Lite is the easiest install and a great all around product that is safe for just about every surface. It's basically dummy-proof and performs as well as many of the competitors "pro" top level coatings. This is what's on my car in the above pictures.

Heal Lite & Heal Plus are not to be installed on top of any film... paint-only and are both only available for professional installation through our network of certified detail shops.

For best results, but somewhat of a difficult install - PPF & Vinyl base layer with TopCoat on top.
Second best results, pretty easy install - Ceramic Lite base layer with TopCoat on top.
Third best results, pretty easy install - TopCoat
Fourth best results, very easy install - Ceramic Lite

After install, you will want to pick up some Detailer V2 as a maintenance wipe-down product to use after washing. This will help keep that water beading super tight over the years. Not 100% necessary but best practice.

Perfect.

And, I'm not getting my Model 3 until late next year (this is all recon work), so hurry up and make that PPF & Vinyl work for idiots like me. ;>
