    Chargepoint announces 400 kW charging, adds 100 miles of electric vehicle range in less than 15 minutes


    Chargepoint, an independent EV charging station manufacturer and charging network operator, announced today that it is introducing a new 400 kW DC fast-charging infrastructure, which is faster than even the most high-powered stations announced by other manufacturers for deployment toward the end of the year.

    The first stations equipped with the new 400 kW technology will be deployed this year and available to customers starting in July 2017, according to the company. moreā€¦

    This is good news for the electric car consumers in general. Reason being, Tesla superchargers aren't "everywhere." I see that ChargePoint is making good strides in making charging stations across the U.S. This is still a viable option to use if you don't see a Tesla Supercharger.

    What's interesting is that they showed off a Tesla charging cable in their promo at the 30-second mark. What does this mean? Tesla allows chargepoint to use their handles? @TrevP @MelindaV @Michael Russo
