Very cool looking car. Although the focus is so much on the rear seats it seems its more a car to be driven around in then one to drive yourself. Seems like an attractive alternative to the S but why wait 2 years?

Looks decent but not my cuppa tea - for reference, I also happen to think Tesla S is too big for me and this, for some reason appears even wider.

Seems like it is aiming right at Tesla S and I cannot see Tesla ignoring the challenge. If you read the fineprint however, it is not clear how they are going to bring-up a brand-new factory AND produce this car in 2 years. I would say if this were to happen, we are looking at 2019 and beyond by which time Tesla would have done a revamp of Model S. I would bet though that Tesla naysayers who constantly complain about Model 3 timescales will probably find no issues with this new company's goals.

Either way competition is good I suppose and I do support anyone attempting to do well in the EV space.

I agree. I think once the 3 is in full production we'll be seeing a major Model S refresh. I expect they may want to try and draw in the upscale crowd the price is targeted at. There is often complaints about the interior and general stylings of the car. I love the way the S looks inside and out but I guess for 100k+ they expect something with a lot of details where the S has a simple interior.
