    Mercedes-Benz starts ‘small series production’ of all-electric Urban eTruck and trials with customers


    Exciting news coming out of Germany today. Mercedes-Benz announced that it started small series production of its first all-electric heavy truck, the Urban eTruck, and launched trials with customers in order to test the vehicle’s capacity on urban routes.

    The company has been moving quickly on this project. After unveiling the prototype in September 2016, it’s already on the roads and in the hands of customers. more…

    I know It's urban but cutting the door off at the headlight level was a mistake.
    Truck drivers hate when the steps are full of s**t due to dirty roads.
    Door must cover 2 steps at least! Plus for aerodynamics, even in cities.

    It appears it doesn't have a charger on board. That's weird. 22kW charger would be good enough
    to keep refrigeration running without being in DC station.
