    New plug-in EV with turbine-recharging technology revealed: over 100 miles of EV range & 700 miles total


    China-based automotive research and development company Techrules unveiled a new plug-in electric vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show in order to feature its new proprietary Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicle (TREV) technology.

    Enabled by the TREV tech, the vehicle features an impressive hybrid powertrain that can allow for over 100 miles of range in electric-only and over 700 miles total with the diesel engine. moreā€¦

    If turbines were actually the best technology for this role, we would be seeing turbine-electric locomotives running about. Instead, we have diesel-electric locomotives. There were turbine-electric locomotives after WW2, but they've fallen out of favor due to several factors.
