During the Geneva Motor Show this week, Nissan confirmed that they plan to unveil the highly anticipated next generation LEAF in September and start production/deliveries by the end of the year.

The update, which has been expected for the last 2 years, could spur the sales of the popular all-electric vehicle. moreā€¦

This will make me @Kennethbokor very happy!

Let's just hope Nissan didn't do the bare minimum and they come out with a good Chevy Bolt competitor.

Nissan hasn't shown any interest in getting into the entry level Lux category (Model 3) or the premium market (Model S). Nothing stopping them however using the platform for their Lexus decision though ;)

Sorry to disappoint you, but they pretty much did the bare minimum.
I don't know why Fred's showing pictures of the IDS concept car.
There are already spy shots of the 2018 Nissan Leaf floating around the internet.
It's the same damn car with refreshed front & rear. Same cabin, same doors.
Should have a bigger battery. Hopefully better battery chemistry, and some active thermal management this time.

Bigger battery for sure. Shape looks about the same but definitely has a new front-end and tail lights.

It does look a bit better than "old frog face".
