To clarify (and Electrek since corrected their title) the vehicle did not catch fire, nor was the driver burned alive... parts of the battery pack that were detached in the wreckage caught fire. The driver died from being in a crash violent enough to cause parts of the sealed battery pack to be separated from the rest of the car.
Local dutch reporting is also noting the vehicle was a 2013 (pre-AP) as there was already speculation the wreck was caused by AP.

Terrible news. Condolences to his family. The media assumes AP is the cause of all Tesla accidents now, even if the cars are not equipped with it. Sigh

Horrible news. Also shows the media bias considering the vehicle wasn't on fire. The way it read it sounded like he was burned alive.

Sensationalism sells, the truth is much more mundane. Until an investigation is completed, it is all speculation and guessing.

Sad for his family and friends.
