Tesla Model 3 as a coupé: unofficial renders

Tesla’s third-generation platform, which will first go to production for the Model 3 later this year, is expected to enable several new models for Tesla, including the Model Y crossover and Roadster 4.0.

But how about a coupé? A Tesla enthusiast took to photoshop to see how the Model 3 would look like as a coupé. more…

Agree with the ugly rendering part. Not sure I know Red Sage well enough to back that one. o_O Maybe it is just the color but the silver one looks very odd. It looks like the back end is melting vs. transitioning into a natural back end like a car should do. Looks like the T1000 in Terminator 2 melting into another object.

Like the idea but it seems very sudden and lacks sleekness. Think it'd be a cool car but kinda need a spacious interior myself.

Yeah, uhm... Seems as if someone is perhaps a Nissan/Infiniti fan? Like their Coupe designs this seems incomplete/non-commital and therefore bland. Doesn't help that rear seat riders must be decapitated either. The shortened Sedan door on a Coupe thing has always turned me off. I would prefer Falcon Wing Doors. Something like this, hinged over the rear seats:

That's more like it. They did a good job with that one.

As @Red Sage said, the render in the article immediately made me think of an Infiniti G 35 coupe.

Aha! Now we know what Ms. Barra was talking about when, in Detroit last January, she mentioned these wonderful EVs they were goin' to develop on the base of the already fascinating Bolt... :D
Fly, fly away... Let it bolt, let it bolt... (famous Disney song... :p)

Yeah. GM can't fool me. They have good designers. Three of their car designs can be configured to cost less than BOLT, but all look better: Chevrolet MALIBU, Buick LaCrosse, and Cadillac ATS. GM could have released a stunningly beautiful fully electric car to embarrass the world. Instead, they chose to embarrass themselves.
