Tesla unveils its 2017 Supercharger network expansion plans

Last night, Tesla updated its Supercharger network page on its website to show its expansion plans for next year. With only a few weeks left in 2016, the company had fallen behind on its 2016 expansion plans for its network of DC fast-charging stations and the current Supercharger maps, which should have looked like the “2016 maps”, were missing several stations.

Now Tesla removed the “2016 maps” and replaced them with “2017 maps” showing some new Supercharger expansions in Hawaii, Mexico, Taiwan, Korea and New Zealand. more…

Just eyeballing the white lines, which i assume are range limits, it looks like 100 % of the United States mainland will be covered. Still working slowly through canada. Probaly need another 20 to 30 for the trans canada drive.

I am disappointed to not see any SCs on Minnesota's north shore. This is a very popular vacation destination. It's not so much getting there from Duluth, but all of the driving around that one does to visit the park. At least one location in Grand Marais would do the trick for most.

It is nice to see that we will be able to drive to Las Cruses NM to visit Julie's sister.

I was hoping for more than that, I must confess.
I think the idea was to have 3 SC still in 2016

But as many other things in life, delay is the expected scenario almost always.

As long as I can go on a road-trip through all Europe when I get my model 3, it will be OK

Hmm not sure what to make of the map vs this post. Hope that Elon means the whole cross Canada network will be done in 2017 but the map seems to show big gaps. I looked at the map again and there is nothing in Saskatchewan at all. However Swift Current is on the TCH and would be a reasonable spot for a Super/Hypercharger. Hope the tweet is correct and the map is behind as I would love to do this drive in my Model 3.

@SweensChris Should complete in 2017. One is def planned for Swift Current, near my cousin's wheat farm where I had my 18th bday.
