    Hi guys,
New member here. Day 1 online reservation holder. Quick question, does the Model 3 have a front tow hook? And if so where is it located? I looked online and could not find anything regarding that.

    Thanks!

Yes - the tow hook can be mounted inside the round hole covered by a body-colored cover plate in the front bumper, near the corner on the driver's side.

We've all assumed that this would be the location for the tow hook. But I don't recall seeing confirmation of this. Do you have a link?

So far, we've seen that this cover plate gives access to the electrical connections for "unlocking" the frunk when the traction battery is dead/disconnected.

The tow hook screws into the front left side rail. It's hidden under the round cap in the bumper. It's stowed in the front trunk under the carpet.

        For reference...

Circular cover plate on the left (right side looking at the car head on).

good to know.. it's either mount the 2nd front plate there, drill HOLES IN THE FRONT BUMPER or keep paying fixit 25$ tickets.

No holes for the front plate bracket. It’s held on with very strong double sided tape.

I'm sure you could rig something up pretty easily by drilling into the underside of the bumper in the "mouth" area, and mounting an L-shaped bracket to mount the plate to. It's how Miata plates used to be done from the factory.

They looked like this. (It's upside down but you get the idea)

The car comes with the bracket that mounts to the front bumper via double sided tape -- no need to buy something else or rig something.

Yeah I know, just making a suggestion since there seem to be so many people who don't like that method. (Shrug)
