I've been saving every extra dollar I can into the Model 3 kitty and I have about 50% saved up however I'm not convinced I will spend it all on the car. I plan on leasing it for 36 months considering the tech changes a lot.
A thousand bucks is pretty easy to loan Tesla for a couple of years, heck if it helps raise the money for production without them going into debt I'm all for it!
Ideally I'd like to place a deposit on March 31 if possible just to secure as low a reservation number as possible.

Is anyone planning on the doing the "camping out" thing? Here in Toronto it's rather cold at the moment to be doing such a thing but I'm planning on being at the local Tesla showroom a couple of hours before they open, coffee in hand.

We'll see. Tesla does reveals in Hawthorne late in the evenings so I expect there will be deposits taken on the cars during the day sight unseen (including me)

Hey Trevor it was nice meeting you today and chating about Tesla, thanks for the link to this club. The $1000.00 reservation was easy now the hard part starts...waiting 2 years.

Does Tesla do a financing option, or would you have to get that from your own bank?

Tesla does have financing. You can also arrange financing at whatever institution you prefer. Leasing however is pretty much through Tesla only.

This is slowly changing but not all lending institutions have Tesla listed as a manufacturer. USAA when I bought my S didnt have it listed online. I had to go through a "special" process to get it added to my policy. Hopefully by the time the 3 ships this will all be smoother.
