I read this thought from Teslamondo. Number four is the most interesting. It seemed slightly odd to me that Tesla didn't give any guidance on Model S & X for the latter part of 2017. Obviously they will be building some Model 3 during that time, but that will be on a different line, why would it affect Model S production so much that they couldn't give any guidance at all? So the Teslamondo thought is that Model 3 may have a feature set that handily leapfrogs the cars currently being produced, therefore there is no reveal until production actually starts and they can't avoid people seeing the car. That thought is both exciting and scary.
