    @LUXMAN,

    Nice!!! Did you get it on a newsstand? I'm assuming it's the same articles we've all devoured online. But great to have a copy.....I'll definitely pick one up as well. They'll prob be 'collectors items' at some point. Atleast for 'us' "TESLARIANS"!!! :)

    I picked it up at the news stand in the LAX airport this morning. I was in Walmart at home yesterday and it wasn't out yet. I've been watching for it and finally it was out. So I paid the full cover price:eek:, but I am gonna keep it for just the reason you stated.

    I will get one but I can't find a store that sells magazines anymore! Unless I want to read about the latest celebrity scandal that is. :(

    Sleeze is what sells. I consider the checkout counter at the grocery stores no longer safe for children based on the crap I see shelved there for impulse buyers. Teslas are refined, cultured, and an elegant lady.

    Fred Meyer, a large local grocery/variety store in the NW (acquired by Kroger a number of years ago) has a "family friendly" marked lane that has no magazines. Still has candy and all the other doodads, but at least no latest celeb scandals or alien abductions.

    Love the Corvette myself! I don't have one anymore but used to go to Corvette shows and shoot the sht with other Vette enthusiasts. The Tesla has become my obsession now but I would like to get another Vette one day. That new Stingray is nasty cool.

    Anyone in the UK got the Motortrend mag? Would be good to know where best to get it from?

    Ha! Guess I should say the "Elon Musk Shrine".... Oh WAIT ! No. I mean keep it as something from a historic vehicle...yeah that's it :)

    I thought I was the only one with a Musk shrine.

    Sounds better. The Model 3 will be a historic vehicle at some level although it is hard to say how significant. The Chevy Bolt is clearly aimed at the masses while the 3 is aimed at the entry level luxury car market. Each will leave their mark as the first to bring 200+ miles in a pure EV at this price range. Right now, I am leaning more towards the Bolt because I absolutely love the utility you get from wagons and hatchbacks.

    I totally get the argument for the Bolt. I have a LEAF and you would be suprised what fits in there :eek:. That is why we are keeping it after the 3 comes. I even put a hitch on it for bikes but know those who tow with it.
    Where as I don't do many road trips, I wonder about the uptake on the Bolt as the Fast Charge Network isn't there and won't be for Years for long distance travel. I think a big part of the draw to the 3 is the range capability.

    My belief is that the lack of infrastructure itself will not have a significant impact on sales. Most big cities still have a DC charger from those 3rd party based usage based fee systems, but finding it can be difficult as Tesla's investment in infrastructure makes it easy. The Bolt is likely the much more affordable of the 2 simply because I do not expect it to cost more than $42-45k fully loaded. It just does not have the fanboy base like Tesla have right now, much from the techies. The Tesla also hands down wins in terms of styling as it is stunning. That is actually something Tesla must plan for because even Apple is finding out that rampant fanboyism eventually ends.

    affordable should be measured by the starting price. And I am 99% sure the base Model ☰ will be much nicer than the base Bolt. Just because one may be optioned higher, doesn't mean one model is less affordable than the other.

    That is where we will have to differ as affordable to me is how much a car costs equipped the way I want it. I really hate strippers.
