Since we know Tesla has built several Model 3 beta cars (as per their SEC filing for Elon's compensation related to beta car candidate selection) we will use this thread for posting information, pictures etc of Model 3 BETA cars spotted in the wild. Here is what to expect and look for in a Tesla BETA car (based on Model X production candidate spottings in 2015: Expect Model 3 BETA cars to be mostly seen in the Palo Alto area dear Deer Creek Rd. which is where Tesla headquarters is located. 90% of Model X production candidates were spotted in that area during 2015.Small chance of BETA cars being seen at the Fremont factory, especially on the test track. Most cars are sent to headquarters for validation testingBETA cars should have near 100% of production parts being tested. Be on the lookout for cars with Autopilot 2 cameras (look for the side blinkers with a black area where the cameras are or on the B pillars)Cars should have very dark/black tinted windows to hide interior detailsCars may have very obvious white wrapping on the front nose area to hide final details of the "tweaked" nose. If it's going to be the same as Model S or X they may not camouflage this.Expect BETA cars to not be left unattended at Superchargers by Tesla staff. Model X was tested in the wild and spotted frequently at SuperchargersBETA cars will either have heavily camouflaged interior detailsBETA cars will be seen in various colours! If a car is parked car is spotted please do not antagonize Tesla staff. Be respectful of their desire for secrecy. They are under NDA and cannot speak openly to the public. In light of the recent spotting of the Alpha car in Hawthorne, some were mistaking it for a production candidate: I will offer an award to the first person to send in a VERIFIABLE Model 3 BETA car picture sent to me at firstname.lastname@example.org The picture must NOT be published or submitted from another location in the internet.
