    Edit due to new thread:

Google spreadsheet to estimate Model 3 costs and payments by @LookUp
    Code:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-Yvl42yfPuBpqjlK73cbOlmw2waoGozFIKwYfY4DBws/edit?usp=sharing

@LookUp this is awesome! I did a lot of this on a napkin a week ago and ended up just as confused. The spreadsheet makes it really easy to toggle values and see what the end result is!

But why are on earth are you spending $75 on oil changes every month?!?

Thanks! I am factoring $75 a month on oil because I am very picky with my sports car :) I take it to a performance shop where it sits next to maseratis and porches, and get synthetic. So it averages out to 25-75 a month depending on how many miles I put on it!

@LookUp if you do plan on updating the spreadsheet for general use I would ask that you add the necessary lines for sales tax..I tend to ignore its existence, but 6.25% can add up here!

It is complete! The original link should hopefully work, and I believe I did the math right (sales tax applying to full purchase price of car). Let me know what you think!

Awesome work again! You may want to post this in the more general Ordering forum so more folks can see it (or maybe mods should just move the thread)

To add to the list, I present my Model 3 Finance calculator.

I'm a bit of a spreadsheet nerd, and I'm excited about the Model 3 so I bide my time doing stuff like this.
            Code:
            https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-Yvl42yfPuBpqjlK73cbOlmw2waoGozFIKwYfY4DBws/edit?usp=sharing
To use this, get a Google Docs account if you don't have one already. Sign in to your account. Then, go to the File Menu (in google docs, not on your browser) and select "Make a Copy". You'll see a copy in your own google docs account that you can fill in, and modify if you like.

I like it because I like to see multiple scenarios at multiple APR and loan periods at once. I like typing in what I'm comfortable with as far as monthly payment, and then seeing where that stacks up in terms of loan terms and total interest paid.

I didn't use any proprietary code or include any private information. If you want to use this for your own state/country, and modify it, and post it up for use by others, I really don't care about getting credit.

I commented each option using literature from the press release, even though we probably all know it by heart by now.

Great of you to put this together for people!

One note for you. The destination charge on Model 3 is $1,000, not $1,500.

what about a basic one for those of us who pay cash for the car. We've had 4 yrs to save up for it.
I'll be paying cash for 2 of them. What about dual motors and such?
                I see 49k+1500 wheels+sales tax+state fees+delivery 1000.
So about 55k for my first one.
Second one will be about 75k-maxed out-all options-hopefully no lux tax.

It was for the (local to calif?) employee who screenshotted their config. But, I'm padding it for those of us who are out of state.

4 years saving 140k in cash? Nicely done, richie rich! :D

As far as I know, there's no solid info on dual motors or other interiors. When there is, I'll be sure to update!

As to other fees you can add those in after you've made a copy.

I "think" the price is the price is the price regardless of where the car is picked up in the US!

I've cleaned up the calculator quite a bit. This is to figure out FINANCING scenarios, and I've left out post-purchase factors such as tax credits, etc.

Use this calculator to figure out ideal Loan Terms based on your budget & wants with the car.

Ideally, you should be able to afford the full-term financing on the car, even if you don't get a tax credit, or receive only partial credit. Protect yourself by being wise with your budget!
