I was just looking at the Model X specs for the new 75D option that was put on the Tesla.com website. The specs look very familiar to what Elon said about the new model 3 with the 0-60 in 6.0 sec.

I'm assuming that could be the base option for the new Model 3 !!! :D

Sounds like a good start to me!

The 75kWhr battery is more likely the large battery option. The Model 3 has a .21 coefficient of drag and is 20% smaller. Based on the drag numbers for the Chevy Bolt, the Model 3 would get as much as 240 miles on a 60kWhr battery as the base and close to 300 on a 75kWhr

I'm hoping that if 70 kWh or 75 kWh is not the standard capacity offered on Model ☰ that it will be the mid-range. That would make it the 'enough range' version for most people, I think. I rather hope that the 'Maximum Performance, Maximum Range' version be at least 90 kWh, and I hold out hope for a 100 kWh version. My most optimistic side sees a 120 kWh to 135 kWh version appearing by 2020 or so.
