Crazy! The French T≡SLA club tweeted about Porsche (France?) reportedly having bought the rights from Google to the 'tesla model s' keywords to redirect folks searching for those to promotional material on the Panamera PHEV!! When I reacted by saying I did not see that, they indicated that it seems to be location-specific (right now apparently only targeting the greater Paris region), and a common practice tolerated by Google & practiced by other companies... I then indicated that it did not make it right as, IMHO, very disingenuous!!
What do you folks think?

It's fine. No point in using Porsche keywords - those people are already considering a Porsche. You want to target people who are considering your competition.

There are various websites that allow you to perform searches that return nothing but ads (I like www.com, just because it's easy to remember). If I search for "Tesla Model S" there, one of the ads shown is for Jaguar. :)

A search for "Tesla Model 3" returns an ad for Elio Motors. Now that's funny!

It's an Ad/Announce so it's supposed to be somekind of advert for another car...
Or alternative links that are not returned from Google Search.
I'm not a SEO (Search engine optimization) professional but I think there's nithing wrong with this
