With power company rates being so different depending on region and where/how power is generated, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone has. I live in the NW were we are lucky to primarily use Hydro with some natural gas and nearly no coal. Because of this we have lower than average rates. (and higher than average gas prices) My local power company rate is .081 per kWh and comes from 75% Hydro, 20% Natural Gas, 5% everything else (biomass, nuclear, solar, wind, coal). So based on the Tesla Model S electricity cost calculator, my daily cost to charge would be $1.18USD for my 45mile RT. (that's 17% of what I currently pay in fuel!) what's everyone else looking at?
