Just curious if anyone else has noticed this. I originally was shown a Nov 17 - Jan 18 and it looks like it slipped a little bit. Now I've got Dec 17 - Feb 18 for First Production (3/31 reservation, non-tesla owner). Obviously I'll get the car when I get it, but just curious if anyone else has seen their delivery estimate change too.

I just checked and I'm still a Nov - Jan for the first production so It doesn't look like it's a global delay. I'm bay area so maybe it's location based.

Pacific NW location, no prior Tesla vehicle purchases, not an investor, but I was a March 31, 2016 line stander. My estimate still shows Nov 2017 - Jan 2018 for first production model.

Interesting. Yeah, I didn't think about location, but I am in Chicago so maybe that has something to do with it? Kinda weird though - its not like anything changed from a few days ago. Maybe I was initially placed in the wrong batch lol

I think the estimates may change as the production increases and as people defer for non-first production models. Estimates tend to improve with the passage of time, and the natural wisdom experience imparts.

I used to live in Chicago (Reserved my car in Illinois), and it moved me back to Dec-Feb from Nov-Jan

East coast, stood in line, I’m showing November 2017 - January 2018. I was happy to see my AWD push up to July 2018, but I don’t think I’ll hold out u less that somehow moves forward to spring 2018.

East coast, asap online reservation, not owner or employee here. Mine started out showing 12/2017-02/2018 and still does for "First Production". Other trims are still the same date I first saw originally.

Interesting - I'm surprised that Illinois reservations seem to be the ones that changed rather than the east coast.

We folks on the Left Coast often think the Northeast is closer to us than all that stuff in the middle. ;)

Seriously, if you look at the SC and Service Center map of the country, there is lots more Tesla support infrastructure there than in the middle of the country, although Chicago is a bit of an exception. Tesla may have decided that it will be easier to roll out in the East than in the Midwest or the West (except for the West Coast)

Just one added point. I suspect if you look at the SC & Service Center map of the country, I suspect it gives a pretty good idea of where the M3 reservations are coming from. Especially if you look at where new ones are planned. That reservation data is worth more to Tesla than just the dollars. The new M3s will very quickly swamp all the S/Xs that are out there, and a new model will require more service, too.

until you look at the upper mountain states (ID, WY, MT, etc) with their recent Supercharger expansion. Not at all proportional to ownership/reservations, but useful for passing thru.

Idaho, Wyoming & Montana have a combined 22 superchargers. So does Oregon & Washington. if it were simply based on Tesla ownership and reservations, these would not be the same.

You are correct, but what you say is sort of my point. There are no clusters of superchargers, just filling in SCs along routes to pass through those states. Yes, those are superchargers, but they are built for a different purpose.

Maybe they are already starting to push... for tax credit reasons.. could also be a CA tax refund increase as of 1/1/18, or maybe they are focussing on S and X sales that may be rising, due to federal tax credits disappearing.

yep, mine now shows nov/17-jan 18. was previously -dec/17

Mine is still the same: First Available Mar - May; Std Battery: May - Jul. Can't comment on the Dual Motor AWD since I didn't pay any attention to it the other times I've looked.
