As I'm want to do on occasion I dropped into the local Tesla shop in Toronto today just to see how things are going in the CPO department.

I like to check on prices and availability from time to time just to get a feel for the land since we still don't know Model 3 pricing yet.

Let's just say that if I didn't have my current lease obligation I might have sprung for this beautiful 2014 Model S 85. It's the dark blue (not crazy about really dark colours but I could concede to this), grey interior with dark obeche matte finish, pano roof, 21" grey wheels, Autopilot 1.0, subzero pack, unlimited Supercharging and air suspension. Price: a cool $76000 CAD including the extra 4 year 80K warranty. After tax and a generous downpayment my financing would be the equivalent to what I'm paying for my current car plus about half the cost of my monthly gas bill for 5 years and still have some money left on the table.

I'd keep my Model 3 reservation but drive this until we knew the pricing then decide what to do then. This was the lowest price Autopilot equipped car they had. Some basic 60s can now be had for as low as $55K CAD.

If some of you are sitting on the fence and don't care about AP, sensors, folding mirrors etc you CAN get a Model S today for really good prices.

It pays to check once in a while because they don't list all the cars on their website. They have quite a bit on unlisted CPO inventory

That's the way Tesla CPO has been since we bought my wife's Roadster in 2013.

I just want to say I love the Model S. But I can't afford a new one. So that's why I have a Model 3 reservation. But the more I see and read about these mules driving around,I'm not as impressed as I was with the one at the reveal. I know we haven't seen final product,so I will wait. If at the end I'm not happy,I will look into a used
Model S. Man those things are Hot!

A beautiful car if a bit large for my taste. I believe preowned model S sedans are a great choice for those who want a large sedan such as the model S.

I prefer smaller more sporty sized four doors so my heart is set on the model 3.

I think I'm buying instead of leasing ...as I believe the styling of the new model 3 sedan will be long lived.

I have confidence in tesla to back up their prodicts so I see a ten year ownership experience in my future.

After the model 3 ...I'll continue to own open top targa corvettes as well. I think it will be a nice combination of vehicles.

Great, thanks but no thanks, I will wait even if RHD will be late.

Model S is too big and too upmarket for my taste. Imagine you really ever wanted to get a new BMW 3 but they had a 3 year old 7 series for sale would you go for it? I would not.

@TrevP What's Tesla's CPO financing rate like in Canada? Do you know?

Nvm It's 3.95% via Scotia at the time of this writing.
