As I'm want to do on occasion I dropped into the local Tesla shop in Toronto today just to see how things are going in the CPO department. I like to check on prices and availability from time to time just to get a feel for the land since we still don't know Model 3 pricing yet. Let's just say that if I didn't have my current lease obligation I might have sprung for this beautiful 2014 Model S 85. It's the dark blue (not crazy about really dark colours but I could concede to this), grey interior with dark obeche matte finish, pano roof, 21" grey wheels, Autopilot 1.0, subzero pack, unlimited Supercharging and air suspension. Price: a cool $76000 CAD including the extra 4 year 80K warranty. After tax and a generous downpayment my financing would be the equivalent to what I'm paying for my current car plus about half the cost of my monthly gas bill for 5 years and still have some money left on the table. I'd keep my Model 3 reservation but drive this until we knew the pricing then decide what to do then. This was the lowest price Autopilot equipped car they had. Some basic 60s can now be had for as low as $55K CAD. If some of you are sitting on the fence and don't care about AP, sensors, folding mirrors etc you CAN get a Model S today for really good prices.
