I am making preparation for the installation of a Tesla wall charger that is making use of the Cohere Maxem energy manager checkout maxem.io/en/

Anyone else out here having plans for smart charging?

I will post later on a couple photo's of my "project".

My only problem is that my solar system output is zero when I am likely to charge the car. Guess I'll need a battery system.

    Hi Model3@Lampje
I also started a post for the same issue: https://model3ownersclub.com/threads/integrated-smart-home-charger-with-solar-roof-system.3116/

@helipilot.pat the Maxem box is available till may 1st without a monthly service subscription, starting may 1st the box itself will be cheaper (approx 100 euros) but from then on a monthly service fee of approx 7 euros/month applies. I ordered the Maxem box yesterday.

Update: I finished installation of the smart charging box (Maxem).

This box (energy manager) will balance the total power consumption of the house and wall charger such that max power is withdrawn from the grid (max 3x 240V 25Amps). Box is fused for 3x 20Amps, the Tesla will take 3x 16Amp meaning that the when only a few lamps are turned on in the house the car will charge at about 3x 16Amp... when the oven or dryer are in use the car will charge e.g. with 3x 10Amp.

kWh meter makes it possible to generated a detailed specification of the power used for charging (handy when your boss is paying for the "fuel").

The M3 will not charge at 3*16=48A. 32A for the small battery and 40A for the large.

Sure, but in all cases the car will charge at max charging speed... either limited by the car itself or limited by the grid/house.
