I love the Spartan interior of the Model 3, but when it comes to storage of commonly used items you're limited to the center armrest storage, the cavernous center consul cubby, or using up one of the cupholders. For things I need everyday like sunglasses opening the center armrest up is annoying, and having them roll around in the center consul isn't ideal.

It sounds like EVAnnex is working on some custom divider solutions, but in the meantime I've been searching for some storage dividers for the center consul cubby that will nicely store my sunglasses, work badge, house keys, etc. So far the best solution I've found is the Meori Mini Foldable Box (at the container store and on amazon). It fits almost perfectly in the central cubby and gives you a few pockets and bands to slide stuff into.

I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm still on the lookout for something that has a few more discrete spaces.

I wanted to share the find with other M3 owners, and see if anyone has found other dividers that work well for them.

What are the dimensions of that center console area?

It's roughly 5" x 5" base, and about 7" tall. There's actually a little bit more space than that, but the bottom of the storage area extends under the cell phone holder and does not have a flat bottom.

I ordered one of these cheap trunk organizers to go in the lower part of the rear trunk. I think it might even fit in the frunk. Can't confirm till my 3 arrives of course.

I didn't mean for you to order it, but you're more than welcome to ship me your 3 and I'll let you know if it fits :)

@spacey - what is the dimension of the bin forward of the center console (with the flip open cover) at the opening and approx depth?

Anyone know good storage organizers for the center console? Right now its just a deep hole and everything gets messy in there. How do you guys organize stuff inside?

I was at Dollar Tree today and found this upload_2018-6-2_17-36-59.jpeg

They only had red at my store so that’s what I got. I had to take a pair of kitchen scissors and trim down the lip on both sides but it fits really well and gives me a little organization in the center cubby. I also like that it doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the cubby so I have additional “hidden “ storage :)

Here’s a picture of it in place:

The cubby cover closes just fine over it.
