I've been thinking about this for a while, how to get Tesla around the Dealership Franchise Laws. With who is President, I imagine it will be harder than ever for Tesla to open more Manufacturer dealership in certain states. I decided to read the Michigan Dealership Franchise laws, just to use as a basis because I know each state is different. What if Tesla franchised Tesla dealerships to Elon Musk. Nowhere in the Michigan Law does it state that a Principle in an Auto Manufacturer cannot own a Dealership, only that the actual manufacturing company cannot. So Elon Musk could create a separate corporate entity for the sole purpose of selling Teslas. Unless I'm reading the law incorrectly, which is always possible. Any thoughts?
