Probably not a good sign for me getting the federal credit, or at least the $3750 chunk. Given the delay I can't imagine seeing my 3 until early 2019. :(

One thing to remember is not all sales are in the US. Delays in Model 3 May help extend things a bit...

True, but I can't imagine the 200,000th US delivery would be any later than Q1 of 2018 (still 5 months away). If true, I'd have to have my car by the end of 2018 to get the $3750, which is POSSIBLE, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I reserved August 2017, am not a Tesla employee or current owner, and live in Kansas.

Nothing on my Tesla delivery estimate has changed; it still says "late 2018". Don't even have a month range.

Agree — I would say latest possible for 200k is Q2 2018 but still likely for Q1 2018.

For me, best case scenario would be hitting 200,000 right on April 1, 2018. That gives Tesla the full first quarter of 2019 to get me my 3. :grinning:

At this point the delay of Model 3 production/deliveries will delay the point the 200k gets hit. Methink there is a good chance T≡SLA would now sequence things in such a way as to not reaching that level before 4/1/18... ;)

I'd love to see them do that, but as others have postulated before, especially with the delays, if they can start delivering thousands and thousands of cars a month early 2018, meaning they hit 200K prior to 4/1/18, I think they have no choice but to do that. If it's close (within a week or two of 4/1/18) then maybe they deliver to Canada or wherever for a while to fill orders but not crest 200K, but I can't see them manipulating things much further out than that.

It's all speculation, so I guess there's nothing left to do but see how it plays out.
